Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KidzFlix video streaming platform (the "Service"). By accessing or using KidzFlix, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms applicable to specific services.

As used in these Terms, the words "we", "us", or "our" refer to Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka Private Limited ("Hutchison") and BeTech Pvt LTD, operating and managing the KidzFlix service.

1. About KidzFlix

KidzFlix is a premium video streaming service designed to provide safe, educational, and entertaining content for children, including nursery rhymes, learning videos, animated stories, and family-friendly programs. The Service is available exclusively to Hutch mobile subscribers and is operated by BeTech Pvt LTD.

2. Service Eligibility & Activation

  1. Eligible Network: KidzFlix is available only to Hutch mobile subscribers using numbers starting with 078 or 072.
  2. Subscription Required: Access to KidzFlix requires an active subscription using a valid Hutch mobile number.
  3. Carrier Billing: Subscription charges are deducted directly from the subscriber’s Hutch reload balance (prepaid).
  4. Successful Activation: The Service will be activated only after successful subscription confirmation.

3. General Terms

  1. Age Requirement: Users must be at least 17 years old. Users under 17 must access the Service under parental consent and supervision.
  2. Agreement Duration: The subscription remains active as long as renewal charges are successfully deducted.
  3. Termination: Users may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe option. Access will end immediately or at the end of the billing period depending on the plan.
  4. Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

4. Subscription & Billing

  1. Subscription Plans: KidzFlix offers daily and recurring subscription plans. Charges are displayed before confirmation.
  2. Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless the user unsubscribes.
  3. Insufficient Balance: If sufficient balance is unavailable, service access may be suspended until successful deduction.
  4. No Refunds: All deducted subscription fees are non-refundable.
  5. Price Changes: Subscription pricing may change with prior notice and will apply from the next renewal.

5. Content & Usage

  1. Personal Use: The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
  2. Content Changes: KidzFlix reserves the right to modify, replace, or remove content at any time.
  3. Parental Guidance: Although content is curated for children, parental supervision is recommended.

6. Content Sources & Third-Party Platforms

  1. Third-Party Content: Some content available on KidzFlix is sourced, embedded, curated, or aggregated from publicly available third-party video platforms, including but not limited to YouTube.
  2. Content Ownership: All third-party content remains the intellectual property of the respective content creators, licensors, or platform owners.
  3. Usage Rights: KidzFlix displays third-party content in accordance with applicable laws, platform policies, and permissions where required.
  4. Content Availability: Third-party content may be removed, restricted, or modified by the original platform at any time.
  5. No Affiliation: KidzFlix is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially affiliated with YouTube or other third-party platforms unless explicitly stated.

7. Device & Network Usage

  1. Access to the Service is limited to Hutch mobile networks.
  2. Internet data charges may apply according to the subscriber’s data plan.
  3. Offline viewing and content downloads are not supported.

8. Prohibited Activities

  1. Sharing account access or mobile numbers with others
  2. Attempting to bypass billing, network, or security controls
  3. Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
  4. Using the Service for unlawful or unauthorized purposes

9. Intellectual Property

  1. All KidzFlix branding, software, and original content are the property of BeTech Pvt LTD or its licensors.
  2. No content may be copied, redistributed, or reused without prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

  1. KidzFlix, BeTech Pvt LTD, and Hutchison shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by network or technical issues.
  2. Total liability is limited to the subscription amount paid by the user.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

  1. User mobile numbers are used solely for authentication and billing purposes.
  2. Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to Terms

  1. These Terms may be updated at any time and will take effect upon posting.
  2. Continued use of the Service indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
